The plans for Alandale include a primary block with 156 bed spaces over five storeys, with direct access from Ashdown Road as well as access to the raised communal courtyard to rear. The secondary block will encompass 40 bed spaces in a two storey block and connects the raised communal courtyard to both the car and bike parking facilities.

The communal courtyard is designed as an external landscaped amenity for occupants with a southerly aspect which connects the two blocks. The ground floor of the larger block will have a reception and ancillary student facilities while the individual house types will range from 4-8 bed units with a kitchen/living and dining area.
