Europe House designed by Henry J Lyons consists of over 3,000 sq.m. of office accommodation with an interactive multi media exhibition and gallery area. The building spans six storeys and includes a multi purpose conference and education space alongside meeting rooms and offices.
Europe House, Chatham Street is built to LEED gold certification standards. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to set a benchmark for design, construction, maintenance, and operation of high-performance green buildings and homes. A LEED certification recognizes buildings that are efficient, cost-effective, and better for occupants and the environment.
The building is the new European Union Liaison Office in the Dublin. Along with enhanced office space Europe House includes the Europa Experience, the aim of which will be to educate visitors in relation to the EU’s work. The interactive experience will include cutting edge multimedia stations and a 360-degree cinema at basement level which will allow visitors to participate in a plenary session of the parliament or take part in a role-play game as a Member of the European Parliament or as an EU commissioner.
